I feel like so much has been distracting me lately, that I am forgetting to take care of myself. My husbands been working late every night this week, and I have just been miserably lonely without him. Our dog, Jack, who is our child, since we cannot have any of our own, hasnt been his usual excitable self…
Last night he was acting really weird, coughing a lot, so today we ran him to the vet. Being the eternal pessimist I am, I feared the worst. Luckily it turns out he has a really bad ear infection that kind of made its way down through his system, nothing to fear. A few days of antibiotics and some steriods should knock it out.
I got a sweet surpise in the mial – two actually… the BFF Wenderz sent me a birthday present and it contained things ONLY Wendy could do! a beautiful little painting “Kinundra’s Bird of Faith” and some home made grape jelly – MY FAVORITE!!! Wendy makes the best stuff, and I have psent pretty much our entire friendship completely envious of her talents 
I also receievd my special copy of Josh Rosenthal’s book “An Oak Tree Late in Winter”. You can check out my thoughts on it here
For now, I am going to keep listening to my wonderful husband read parts of Josh’s book to me and be thankful my baby, Jack, is okay!
